Choose Colors That Complement the Setting
Kimono come in many colors and patterns, and some combinations work better depending on the location. Bright and vibrant colors stand out beautifully against the red gates of shrines or traditional temple architecture, while softer tones often look elegant in quieter streets or gardens.

Plan Enough Time for Kimono Dressing

Jasmine photographed our family (2 adults & 1 child) and she was great to work with. She had great communication with me beforehand to figure out our preferences and quick turnaround for our photos afterwards. During our photoshoot she was also checking in with us to see if there was anything we wanted to be photographed with along our route. Would recommend!
Absolutely great experience! Mehdi was very friendly, very talented and even gave me great suggestions on places to visit and food to eat! Definitely recommend!
Working with Paren in Osaka was an excellent experience from start to finish. He was professional, punctual, and clearly takes his craft seriously. From the moment we started, he brought a creative eye and an intuitive understanding of how to capture both the setting and the moment in a way that felt natural and authentic.
What stood out most was his insight—he didn’t just take photos, he guided the experience. Whether it was suggesting locations, adjusting angles, or helping me feel comfortable in front of the camera, everything felt intentional and well thought out.
If you’re in Osaka and looking for a photographer who is reliable, creative, and easy to work with, I highly recommend booking Paren.
One of the next experiences Ive had on photoshoot. Timely, professional, courteous, and creative. I loved my time and my pictures came out superb! I highly recommend!
We are from FL and it was our first time in Japan during sakura (cherry blossom) season and we wanted to commemorate with a photoshoot! I picked Jayson because his past work was exactly what I was looking for, natural, sweet, soft, and uplifting. We communicated my preferences 1 month before the shoot and a few days to make sure we were on the same page. He provided great options for parks and we ended up picking Yoyogi! He gave us clear instructions, was punctual, and VERY easy to talk to! Such a wonderful person and he gave us good pose advice and direction. I would hire him again in the future! 🙂
Mehdi is an amazing photographer. From the start, he was very communicative over the messaging app and even gave me recommendations to get my hair styled. On the day of, we were able to comfortably spend time talking while also taking good photos. He guided me through different poses but also gave me the flexibility to shed my own personality through the photos with my facial expressions, clothing choice, and hand placements. Within just a day or two, Mehdi had sent me the full list of photos and gave me the opportunity to choose which ones I wanted edited (alternatively, he can choose for you if you don’t want to bother sifting through the photos). Overall, the experience you get for the price is very high value, and my only regret is not having spent more time practicing being natural with poses and facial expressions; Mehdi truly gives you the opportunity to shine!
Jasmine is a great photographer, very patient and has amazing skills. Definitely will booked with her again!
It was a pleasure working with Mehdi. He was very friendly and professional from start to finish. It honestly felt like having a personal tour guide during the photoshoot because he is very knowledgeable on Japanese culture. He even showed me some recommendations when it came to food and things to do in Japan. The photos came out amazing and he was quick to edit them. I highly recommend you book Mehdi as your photographer when you come to Japan!
Jayson is one of the best and most efficient photographer in Tokyo. I booked at such a last minute time slot and yet he is still able to confirm and deliver awesome photos at such a short time. He was so patient and accommodating as well. His editing and lighting on every photo is beautiful, very worth it! Thank you Jayson, definitely recommend to everyone ✨
