Mehdi
Founder, Photo Trips
7 years as a nomad
Traveled across Asia
Based in Japan
Seven years on the road
Mehdi spent seven years as a nomad, traveling across Asia before settling in Japan. Along the way, he kept noticing the same frustration among travelers: incredible trips, underwhelming photos. Couples bickering over shots. Solo travelers relying on strangers. He saw a real gap, and Photo Trips was born out of it.
The other side of the lens
As a travel influencer, Mehdi also saw how the pressure of “perfect life” imagery online was affecting people’s confidence. He became convinced that photography should work the other way: help people feel good about themselves, not worse. That belief shapes everything Photo Trips does.
More than a photoshoot
Mehdi also realized that traveling is about connecting with people, and yet meeting locals in a foreign country isn’t always easy. The Photo Trips photographers fill that gap. They share tips, recommend hidden spots, and often become genuine friends long after the trip is over.
