Spanning over 30 hectares, the park features meticulously arranged gardens, colourful flower fields, and a serene waterfall area. When To Plan The Proposal At Mount Fuji

The beautiful Mount Fuji isn’t always visible, especially when hidden behind a collection of clouds. There’s no perfect time to propose by the mountain, but we can provide valuable tips to make sure Mount Fuji appears by the time you get down on one knee and pop the big question.

Spring

If you propose in spring, you might witness the cherry blossoms in full bloom. These can make your proposal shoot even more beautiful. Spring in Japan often happens from March to mid-April. However, expect more crowds and less peaceful areas around Mount Fuji.

Autumn

Autumn transforms the Mount Fuji surroundings into breathtaking and vibrant yellows, reds, and gold foliage. The fall period is typically around November.

Winter

Winter is one of the best season for a proposal in Mount Fuji as the weather is clear and the clouds are quite rare. Additionally, snow during winter adds drama to your proposal! Head to Mount Fuji from December to February, and propose to your girlfriend in a gorgeous setting while covered in snowflakes.

Summer

Summer is usually not recommended for a proposal at Mount Fuji. The weather is hot and humid, with high chances to have clouds and therefore, not see Mount Fuji. The snow at the top of the mountain will also melt during summer so the Mount Fuji will look a bit different.

Photo Trips Recommendation

Clouds surrounding Mount Fuji are unpredictable, and we can’t say exactly the best time to view the mountain without the clouds getting in the way.

However, there’s a better chance to spot Mount Fuji if you propose during the cold months, around November to February. The clouds are sparse, so you have a greater opportunity to propose and have a photoshoot with this beautiful mountain as your backdrop.

Spring and Autumn can be a great alternative too! Let’s try to avoid summer, even if you could get lucky and see clearly Mount Fuji during some summer days too.

How To Pose During The Proposal

After looking for the best location and time to propose around Mt. Fuji, it’s time to learn the basics when posing for a proposal photo. Besides the classic kneeling down on one knee, do you know there are other cute angles and poses you can do? We listed the most popular ones below.

The Typical Kneeling Down on One Knee – Always A Must!

First on the list should definitely be the boyfriend kneeling on one knee while wearing the ring on the girlfriend’s finger. You can ask the photographer to hide in certain areas so he can capture the moment without revealing the surprise to your girl.

Zoom on Hand While Kissing – Let the Whole World Know!

Another famous proposal shot focuses on the girl’s hand with the ring and the couple kissing behind it. It’s cute and a unique way of letting everyone know you said yes!

The Hug of Joy – Let Your Happiness Shine

Another way to capture a magical proposal shot is by asking the couple to hug and candidly laugh. This might be the first hug after your girl says yes, so it’s indeed an emotional moment!

A Cute Twirl – For A Fun Shot

Always looking for fun poses to make the mood lighter? We suggest a playful twirl and pretend you’re dancing because of overflowing happiness!

The Kiss – A Promise of Forever

Finally, seal your proposal with a kiss, a sign of your long-lasting love for one another. The kiss can be on the lips or the girl’s forehead.
