This photoshoot takes place in Arashiyama, one of Kyoto’s most scenic and atmospheric areas, known for its bamboo forests, traditional streets, and riverside views.
We’ll begin near Arashiyama Station and explore the area together at a relaxed pace. The route includes several of Arashiyama’s most beautiful spots, such as the Kimono Forest, the Bamboo Grove, Nonomiya Shrine, and Togetsukyo Bridge. Along the way, I’ll also guide you to quieter corners that many visitors miss, allowing us to capture elegant and natural photos away from busy paths whenever possible.
At the start of the experience, we’ll take photos around the Kimono Forest while I share a bit of cultural background about Arashiyama and its history. We’ll then move into the bamboo grove, focusing on less-crowded sections for more peaceful and cinematic shots. The photoshoot continues through Nonomiya Shrine and finishes near the iconic bridge, where the surrounding nature and river create a timeless backdrop.
The experience is suitable for all types of travelers, including solo visitors, couples, and families with children. No experience in front of the camera is needed. I’ll guide you gently throughout the session so you feel comfortable and confident, keeping the focus on natural moments rather than stiff poses.

Wearing a kimono is highly recommended to match the traditional atmosphere of Arashiyama, but it’s completely optional. Kimono rental is not included, though I can recommend trusted rental shops I’ve worked with before that offer beautiful options for both women and men.
At the end of the photoshoot, I’m happy to share recommendations for cafés or restaurants in Arashiyama, perfect for enjoying the area a bit longer and discovering some local hidden gems.

Very friendly. Pre-trip coordination was good in terms of responsiveness and understanding the needs/ purpose of the shoot. Mina was also clear with his instructions and thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. He would let us do check the photos after taking and he was open to listening to what poses/views we want. Mina is a charming and talented photographer. He made us feel at ease, shared his cakes with us, and captured beautiful memories that will last a lifetime!! My only regret is that we did not get to go to Osaka and party with him and a longer photo shoot lol.
