Kimono Photoshoot In Arashiyama Bamboo Forest (Kyoto) by Professional Photographer
Let’s visit Arashiyama together and get amazing pictures!
This photoshoot will last around 1 hour and half and we will meet at Arashiyama station first (Randen Line).
We will explore together 4 main spots that are listed below:
- Kimono Forest
- Arashiyama Bamboo Grove
- Tenryu-ji Temple
- Togetsu-kyo Bridge
I will start to take some pictures of you in the Kimono Forest and I will give you some cultural explanation about Arashiyama in general. This should take around 20 minutes.
After that, we will go to the bamboo grove which is the main photo spot of the day. I will take you to spots that are not very visited by tourists so we can take great pictures. The session here should take around 40 minutes.
To finish this photoshoot in Arashiyama, I will explore together Tenryu-ji temple (15 minutes) and we will finish at Togetsu-kyo bridge. Both places are very photogenic!
This photoshoot is recommend for all kind of travellers: solo traveler, couple or family with kids.
If you are traveling as a couple, I can also arrange for you a proposal photoshoot. Just let me know after you book the experience.
At the end of the tour, I will also recommend some nice places to have a coffee or dinner in Arashiyama. I visit this area very often so I know a lot of hidden gems!
After the shooting session, I will provide at least 50 edited high-quality pictures that are ready to be shared on Social Media or printed.
I highly recommend to get a kimono for this experience but you don’t have to. If you want to rent a kimono, I can recommend great kimono rental shops that I use to work with. They have beautiful products for both women and men.
I look forward to see you in Arashiyama!
Flexible Cancelation Policy: get a full refund if you cancel 1 week (7 days) before the day of the shooting.

Very friendly. Pre-trip coordination was good in terms of responsiveness and understanding the needs/ purpose of the shoot. Mina was also clear with his instructions and thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. He would let us do check the photos after taking and he was open to listening to what poses/views we want. Overall, good experience! Additional kudos for going the extra mile to help purchase flowers 🙂
My photographer Mina was wonderful. Not only was he charismatic, he was very artful in his craft. In between shot locations, he spent time educating me about the culture, food, and language. Super friendly and positive experience. Would definitely book another one again!
Mina is a charming and talented photographer. He made us feel at ease, shared his cakes with us, and captured beautiful memories that will last my cousin I , a lifetime!! My only regret is that we did not get to go to Osaka and party with him and a longer photo shoot lol. However that means we get to plan another trip to Japan and this time we will not be confined to one area but capture the entire trip. We love our photo catalogue of Kyoto. Thank you Mina! Bravo!
