Description

This photoshoot takes place in Gion and Higashiyama, two of Kyoto’s most photogenic and culturally rich districts. With their traditional streets, wooden townhouses, temples, and atmospheric alleyways, these areas offer the perfect setting for elegant and timeless photos.

We’ll explore the neighborhoods together at a relaxed pace, stopping at carefully selected spots that showcase the beauty of the area while avoiding overly busy sections whenever possible. Even in popular locations, I know how to capture clean and natural photos that keep the focus on you.

The experience works well at different times of the day. Soft morning light, golden hour near sunset, cloudy conditions, and even light rain can all create beautiful atmospheres for photography. In case of stormy or unsafe weather, we can reschedule or cancel with a refund.

Wearing a kimono is completely optional. You’re welcome to join the photoshoot in your own outfit, which works perfectly with the scenery. If you’d like to wear a kimono, I can help arrange the rental near Yasaka Shrine after booking. Kimono rental is not included and is paid directly at the shop.

This photoshoot is ideal for travelers who want elegant, authentic photos in Kyoto’s most iconic neighborhoods, with a relaxed and well-guided experience from start to finish.

Our pictures were so stunning! We were late from taking the wrong train so had to cut our shoot a little short, but he was still able to get so many gorgeous photos of us! The spots he found were perfect and he gave us a great lunch recommendation.
